How Nomad Shubham Started Travelling?

Nomad Shubham, hailing from Bihar, has embarked on an incredible journey around the world, spanning three remarkable years. With an adventurous spirit and a burning desire to explore, he has covered an astounding distance of over 50,000 kilometres, relying solely on hitchhiking as his mode of transportation.

This incredible feat brings to mind the remarkable story of Cycle Baba, who pedalled a cycle for over 50,000 kilometres - you can delve into Cycle Baba's captivating biography here. Back in September 2017, Shubham found himself engrossed in his engineering preparations in Kota, Rajasthan.

Amidst his studies, he stumbled upon a captivating video while scrolling through YouTube. The video happened to be from a Ted Ex-show featuring Tomislav Perko, who shared his awe-inspiring travel journey. If you're curious, you can catch that video here.

Inspired by Perko's tale, Shubham realized that he too possessed the potential to undertake such extraordinary adventures. In the video, Perko offered insights on hitchhiking, couch surfing, and volunteering, which sparked a flame of excitement within Shubham.

Starting with nearby cities in Rajasthan, Shubham's initial trips took him on an unforgettable exploration of the vibrant state. He traversed the enchanting landscapes of Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, and Kota, immersing himself in the rich cultural tapestry each place had to offer.

As time went on, his wanderlust grew, and after a year of domestic travels, he set his sights on international destinations. The tale of Nomad Shubham's incredible journey captivates and inspires.

Through his unyielding spirit and determination, he has unravelled the beauty of various cities, both near and far. With each passing kilometre, Shubham embraces the unknown, relishing the diverse cultures, people, and experiences that the world has to offer.

His story serves as a testament to the extraordinary adventures that await those who dare to follow their wanderlust and step beyond the boundaries of their comfort zones.

How did he convince his Family to travel?

Once upon a time, there was a young adventurer who embarked on a journey without informing his family. Fascinated by the prospect of exploring new horizons, he set foot in India, claiming to be on a quest to inquire about various colleges where he intended to pursue his studies.

Each time he spoke to me, he would passionately mention his desire to explore different colleges that resonated with his aspirations. He assured me that upon finding the perfect fit, he would immediately enrol. However, little did I know that he was deceiving me.

In truth, he had no intention of diligently searching for a reputable college. Instead, he used his travels as a guise while secretly preparing for an exciting adventure in Russia and Kazakhstan.

These distant lands held an irresistible allure, and he eagerly awaited his first journey to these remarkable destinations. As he embarked on his expedition, unbeknownst to his family and friends, the young adventurer's true intentions remained concealed.

His spirit for exploration and his yearning for new experiences propelled him forward, undeterred by the consequences of his secret journey. With every step he took, he embraced the unknown, ready to create unforgettable memories in the vast landscapes of Russia and Kazakhstan.

How Many Countries did he travel to?

He traveled to more than 30 countries in his world travel series he started his journey in India then went to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Cambodia,

Vietnam, China, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Iran, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania.

How does Nomad Shubham Communicate in different languages?

In one of his interviews with Satish Kushwaha, Shubham revealed an intriguing aspect of his travels - he dedicates an entire month to each country he visits. But what exactly does he do during this time? Well, Shubham has an incredible knack for immersing himself in the local culture and language.

How does he do it? Through volunteering and Couchsurfing, he exchanges cultural values with the locals, gaining valuable insights into their way of life. Imagine being able to communicate effortlessly with people from different corners of the globe.

Shubham believes that learning a few local words and phrases can make a huge difference. So, he spends time with the locals, who graciously teach him their language and everyday expressions. This not only enables Shubham to navigate the country more easily but also helps him forge meaningful connections with the people he meets.

Of course, there are instances when Shubham encounters language barriers. In those situations, he relies on technology to bridge the gap. Google Translate and dictionary apps become his trusty companions,

allowing him to convey his messages to others. However, he acknowledges that language dialects can sometimes pose a challenge, and not everyone understands the translations provided by these tools. That's when Shubham turns to a universal language that transcends words: sign language.

He explains that when faced with people who don't comprehend his spoken language, he resorts to using hand gestures and facial expressions. It's fascinating how these non-verbal cues can create a bridge of understanding, as people from diverse backgrounds come together to lend a helping hand.

So, the next time you find yourself in a foreign land, grappling with language barriers, take a page out of Shubham's book. Embrace the local culture, learn a few phrases, and don't underestimate the power of sign language - for it can connect us all, regardless of the words we speak.
